The Development Test Engineer – Tool Development is responsible for testing and qualifying the Nomadix software product line. The person in this role works closely with Quality Assurance, Software Engineering and Product Management to develop, implement, and maintain automated and manual procedures and tools in support of the software quality assurance processes at all stages of the product life-cycle. This full-time non-exempt position will be based in Agoura Hills, CA and will report to the Quality Assurance Team Lead.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, at least 3 years experience with Software QA automation development using industry standard technologies such as PERL, Python, TCL, JavaScript, or comparable language, and at least 3 years of experience in a Software Quality Assurance role. Must have a clear understanding of the software development life-cycle and Quality Assurance, and substantial working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, IP networks, and routing protocols. Should also have a working knowledge of database concepts, data schema, XML and XML-based languages. Experience with Java, C, C++, or other high-level languages is a plus. Must be positive and proactive with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Network Software Engineer

The Network Software Engineer will work in a fast-paced team oriented environment using state-of-the-art tools. This position will be responsible for developing and supporting software for both the current and next generation of Nomadix broadband access products. The individual in this dynamic role will actively participate in all facets of software development, including technical system and functional specification, detailed design, module architecture, coding, unit and desktop testing. The Network Software Engineer will design and develop networking software with C/C++ using Linux operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 3 years of programming experience, including extensive hands-on specific knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP and/or HTTP. Must have a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, fluency in C++, and experience developing software for Linux OS. Experience developing software for routers, gateways, or switches is a plus. Must be positive and proactive with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
