Network Software Engineer

The Network Software Engineer will work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment using state-of-the-art tools. This position will be responsible for developing and supporting software for both the current and next generation of Nomadix broadband access products. The individual in this dynamic role will actively participate in all facets of software development, including technical system and functional specification, detailed design, module architecture, coding, unit and desktop testing. The Network Software Engineer will design and develop networking software with C/C++ using Linux operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of programming experience in a workplace setting, including extensive hands-on specific knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP (highly preferred), SNMP, DHCP and/or HTTP, and have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science. Must have a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, fluency in C/C++, and significant experience developing software for Linux OS. Experience developing software for routers, gateways, or switches is a plus. Senior level candidates with embedded software development experience and working knowledge of VLAN, VoIP, IEEE 802.11, fault tolerance, and QOS technologies are highly preferred. Must be positive and proactive with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Relocation from anywhere within the United States will be offered to the successful candidate. If hired, must be able to prove current legal right to work for any employer in the United States.
